I have expanded on what I began in high school by introducing the cultures of Ethiopia and Eritrea and fund raising to help people in need. I am outreach coordinator for ASU (Abyssinian student union) at UC Riverside. Currently I am the community coordinator for BLAACK, an organization that unites African American males on campus under the common purpose of helping high school students in the area get to college. I am also involved in several Education related programs such as AAH, NESBE and AAUS. I feel that UC Riverside is a diverse school and has contributed to making me a well rounded student.
